An institutional expansion of the Die Form exhibition first shown at Primary in Miami. The museum saw the light box sculptures there and invited Typoe to bring that language to a larger scale. The gallery was completely blacked out, walls painted dark, curtains hung over every doorway, creating a fully controlled immersive environment. With no natural light or ambient glow, the only thing visitors respond to is the illuminated work itself. The same ideas of light, balance, and tension, but amplified through total environmental control.
