Over the Rainbow

Andy Warhol Museum, Pittsburgh, PA · 2022

Commissioned after the museum's chief curator, Jose Diaz, invited Typoe to Pittsburgh to walk the site. The mural occupies a formerly underutilized exterior wall that people tended to avoid. A densely layered composition of shapes, color, and movement creates something almost like a colorful camouflage, with forms hidden throughout for viewers to discover. The space has since been activated for events, gatherings, and community programming as part of the museum's Pop District expansion.
