An outdoor exhibition curated by Allison Glenn as a contemporary nod to the Color Field painters. Installed across the museum's 240 acre sculpture forest alongside works by James Turrell, Yayoi Kusama, and others. Large metal shapes, powder coated, pristine, and intensely saturated in color, were placed among the trees like a block set that fell into the middle of a forest. Working in nature rather than an urban environment for the first time, the contrast between the artificial and the organic became the point. That tension between fabricated geometry and natural landscape began influencing the direction of Typoe's work from this show forward.
