Originally a gallery installation built from black acrylic in the form of an immersive hallway. When a collector acquired the work, Typoe walked the entire property to find the right space for it. In the living room, a built in bookshelf became the site. The left and right sides were removed and rebuilt in black acrylic with small doors resembling a confessional. The books remained in the center. Life on one side, death on the other, knowledge in between. A work that shifted from institution to private home and took on an entirely different, more personal meaning in the process.
