RIMOWA

Design District, Miami, FL · 2023

A permanent suspended sculpture created for RIMOWA's Design District flagship. The entryway features a grand double height ceiling that called for something floating in the air. The work takes the form of an explosion frozen in time, built from Typoe's signature shapes and colors alongside cut pieces of actual RIMOWA suitcases, integrating both identities into a single suspended moment. Visible through the all glass storefront from the street, the piece pushes right up to the edge of the glass, almost as if it is about to burst into the sidewalk. An invitation to stop, look, and be present.
