Del Toro x Typoe Shoe Launch

World Red Eye covered the launch of a collaboration between Miami-based artist Typoe and Del Toro shoe brand owner Matthew Chevallard, resulting in limited edition wingtip shoes available for men and women.
The shoes launched at an invite-only event at The Webster boutique on South Beach, which carried exclusive editions. Additional pairs were available at the Del Toro boutique in Wynwood and online.
Typoe: "It was kind of a natural fit...He was like 'Dude, let's do something rad!' and I was like 'Yeah!'"
Matt Chevallard: "The floral print he designed brings a fresh look to the classic wingtip, while creating a whimsical approach to the arts."
Anthony Spinello (Spinello Projects founder): "I think the collaboration is very smart. I think it's fresh."
Typoe: "I like the colorful one...I'm just a color whore—I like colors and bright flowers."
Typoe created the pattern through spray painting on canvas, then high-resolution scanning and printing. Each shoe included multiple lace options for customization. The Webster boutique received a special edition with a distinct color scheme.
