TYPOE Transforms Graffiti Into Sculpture: A Post-Modernist Vision at Color Field

Miami-based artist Typoe, who began his career as a graffiti painter, has evolved into a sculptor. His work appears in the Color Field exhibition at the University of Houston, featuring abstract geometric sculptures that reflect 1980s Post-Modernism influences.

The exhibition, part of the University of Houston's Public Art Program, transforms outdoor campus spaces into a sculpture park. Typoe's installation consists of abstract geometric forms that continue his exploration of building blocks and childhood memory.

The artist's work has been displayed at Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville, Arkansas, Locust Projects in Miami, Public Art of UH System in Houston, Artis-Naples in Florida, and Faena Art Center in Buenos Aires.
