New Mural Adorns Carnival Tower at Arsht Center

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts unveiled a large-scale mural by Miami-based mixed-media artist TYPOE on the exterior of its Carnival Tower.

The artwork, titled "Paper Stage (Allegory of Life)," measures 20 by 30 feet and features vibrant colors and whimsical theatrical elements. The mural draws inspiration from 19th-century paper stage models and incorporates playful artistic motifs designed to reveal deeper meaning upon closer inspection.

"As a Miami native, this project is very meaningful to bring my vision to life in a culturally rich space," said TYPOE. "I hope this artwork inspires visitors to connect with their own creativity and experience the unique energy of Miami."

The mural overlooks Biscayne Boulevard and Parker and Vann Thomson Plaza for the Arts. It was officially unveiled on September 13, 2025, following a year-long collaboration between the artist and the Arsht Center.
